Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and the new owner of Twitter, fired the former CEO Parag Agrawal and several other top executives right away. This was his first significant action after spending $44 billion to purchase the social media giant. Social media users have created a major meme festival taking jabs at Mr. Agrawal, particularly in India.
A Twitter user named Manglam Tiwari made fun of the former Twitter CEO by posting a meme of famed Bollywood actor Amrish Puri telling him to get ready for a job in the government.
“Doesn’t matter if you are CEO of a gaint social media platform.
The job security will only be in Government jobs,” he wrote.
Another person uploaded a video showing Hu Jintao, the former leader of China, being abruptly removed from the party Congress. Hu Jintao’s visage was replaced with that of Parag Agrawal, and Xi Jinping’s face with that of Elon Musk.
According to reports, Twitter Chief Executive Officer Parag Agrawal, Head of Legal, Policy, and Trust Vijaya Gadde, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, who joined Twitter in 2017, and General Counsel Sean Edgett, who has served as Twitter’s general counsel since 2012, are among those leaving.Bloomberg said that Mr. Edgett was led from the structure, citing sources.
