One of the few instant messaging programs that regularly updates its features to provide the best user experience is WhatsApp. It turns out that developers are now releasing a new feature called “Kept Messages.”
The Kept Messages feature is useful if you want to prevent some messages from deleting and make them permanently available for everyone in a group chat, according to a recent report by WABetaInfo.
If you save a disappearing message, it will remain in the chat window even after it has expired. These communications can, however, be erased at any moment and will be controlled by everyone in the group. If you want to check these messages later, the “Kept Messages” section can be useful.
WhatsApp will remove the ability to star messages for disappearing chats once the new functionality is available because it would be unnecessary. The “Starred Messages” section will likewise be deleted by the creators. Simply launch a group chat and tap on the group name to find it. There is a section here called “Kept Messages” where all saved messages will show there unless someone deletes them.
The Kept Messages section is currently only accessible to a small number of WhatsApp Business beta testers running the most recent version (v2.23.4.10), but the messaging service is gradually rolling out the feature to all new users, so it may take some time before the section appears on your device.
Several new features, including support for emoji reactions for status, private audience, and more, were launched by WhatsApp a few days ago, along with a hint that it was developing a transcription capability that can turn lengthy voice conversations into text.
