The release of the eagerly anticipated rom-com Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is less than two weeks away, and audiences are quite excited. The trade anticipates that Luv Ranjan’s film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, will have a strong opening weekend at the box office thanks to the success of its trailer and soundtrack. And if sources are to be believed, the creators may release it earlier than anticipated.
According to a source, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar would be released on March 8 on that day. But, the creators are considering preponing it and publishing it the next day, on Tuesday, March 7.
The insider stated, “March 7 is the second Holiday. This characteristic has caused some ambiguity. The Holi celebration will be observed on March 7 in several regions. The creators decided that March 7 would be the best day to take advantage of it because that day will see the most traffic.
Yet, the source also stated that “A decision will be made in a few days. If Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is finished in time, it will be released on March 7th. Otherwise, it will open in theaters on March 8 as planned.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will have a lengthy six-day weekend if it debuts on March 7, which is quite unusual given that directors often prefer to release the movie on Thursday or, at best, Wednesday, if not Friday, to capitalize on a festive holiday. Last year, the post-Diwali vacation fell on Tuesday, October 25, which coincided with the release of the Diwali films Ram Setu, starring Akshay Kumar, and Thank God, starring Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh. The 2012 Diwali films, Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Shah Rukh Khan and Son Of Sardaar with Ajay Devgn, likewise hit theaters on a Tuesday more than ten years ago.
