Vande Bharat

On Thursday, the fourth Vande Bharat Express started operating.

The fifth Vande Bharat Express, a semi-high-speed train that is reported to have given the Indian Railways a facelift, is scheduled to begin operating on November 10 of this year. The train will travel the route between Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mysuru.

On Thursday, the fourth Vande Bharat E xpress train’s operations were launched off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the H.P region of Una. Later, the chief ministers of Himachal Pradesh and Haryana, Jairam Thakur and Manohar Lal Khattar, were spotted travelling on the fast train. Beginning the next week, the train is expected to reduce the distance between Delhi and Chandigarh to three hours. According to a government statement, it will take two hours less to go from Una to New Delhi.

Vande Bharat 2.0 has more improvements and innovations than its predecessor, including the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 52 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km/h. In comparison to the previous version’s 430 tonnes, the enhanced Vande Bharat Express will weigh 392 tonnes. Additionally, Wi-Fi material on demand will be available, the Prime Minister’s office noted in a statement. Additionally, it offers “aircraft-like travelling experiences” and cutting-edge security measures, such as the locally built KAVACH Train Collision Avoidance System.

However, there have also been some documented incidents that are related to the fast train. It was the third technical issue in as many days when a semi-high speed train travelling between New Delhi and Varanasi experienced a delay last week.
