The Test Case

In “The Test Case,” Nimrat Kaur’s character garnered media attention. She tried diligently to fit in better than fine for her character and the crowd applauded her efforts like no other. Here’s how the character is holding up, to speak of The Test Case.

I got to play an Army officer and wear the uniform because of ‘The Test Case,’ adds Nimrat, who claims she identified with the show for a variety of reasons. I traveled to a lot of locations both geographically and emotionally over this series. I am not sure whether I will play an Army officer again, but this will always remain extremely close to my heart. Since I identified so strongly with the persona, I still have my show uniform. It was the one occasion I retained a full costume because, for a variety of reasons, I couldn’t work in it.

Although being in the Army is second nature to me, Nimrat says that watching The Test Case episode allowed her to relive her upbringing. She continues, “I have been so far from the Army life and uniform (in movie roles). I would frequently mention that this is what occurs in the Army and that this is what we may do while filming.

Nimrat said she has always been captivated by the uniform because her father served in the Army. “I used to watch my father donning the uniform, and that is one of my most treasured memories. That was almost too good to be true to wear that uniform for this show, she adds.

In terms of her professional life, she will be seen in the social thriller Happy Teachers’ Day, which is produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Mikhil Musale, a recipient of a National Award. The movie marks Nimrat Kaur’s second project with Maddock Production in a leading role.
