Uunchai, Sooraj Barjatya’s previous movie, won praise from critics for its touching depiction of friendship and the resiliency of people. The movie, which hit theaters in November of last year, has received high marks from both reviewers and viewers for its captivating plot, standout performances, and gorgeous photography. The director, Sooraj Barjatya is part of a novices’ program while the crowd is still gushing over the movie.
For the uninitiated, Jyoti Deshpande and Mahaveer Jain announced the Newcomers’ Initiative in September 2022 at FICCI Frames, a unique program designed to mentor and introduce new talent. The ecosystem of the industry will be strengthened by this initiative, which will bring together many filmmakers. With this unprecedented project, more than 23 of the nation’s top filmmakers have banded together to mentor, launch, and encourage emerging talent.
Having said that, it’s important to note that Mahaveer Jain also worked as Uunchai’s producer. So, it will be Sooraj Barjatya and Mahaveer’s second time working together. This exciting news follows the recently reported collaboration with Jio Studios, Rajkumar Hirani Productions, and Mahaveer Jain to introduce two new actors through a feature film as part of the Newcomers initiative. There haven’t been any further announcements regarding the upcoming movie.
