Shah Rukh garnered 4% of the 1.2 million votes cast, the report claims. In close second place are Iranian women who are fighting for their rights. They received 3% of the vote. In the magazine’s reader election for 2022 Person of the Year, the women also won. With 2% of the votes, healthcare professionals who have been fighting the disease on the front lines since 2020 finished in third.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received 1.9% of the vote, placing them in fourth position. Harry attracted worldwide attention after releasing his memoir Spare earlier this year and detailing his experiences as a member of the British royal family. Meghan is the podcast host of Archetypes. Football player Lionel Messi took the fifth spot on the list with 1.8% of the votes.
