Salman Khan: Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was released in 2015, not only became one of the biggest hits but also a film that was well-liked by the general public. The heartwarming movie about the peculiar friendship between an Indian simpleton and a little Pakistani girl, starring Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and child actress Harshali Malhotra, captured audiences’ attention.
Salman Khan‘s supporters rejoiced when the title of the Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel, Pavan Putra, was revealed last year. They were excited only at the prospect of seeing their favorite actor perform the same part again. But after the announcement, there was no further information about the initiative.
Bollywood Hungama has just discovered that Salman has hired Pooja Hegde to work with Pavan Putra. In other words, she will take Kareena Kapoor’s place in the movie. It is unknown at this time if Pooja would portray the same role as Kareena did in the previous movie. It’s interesting to note that Pooja also plays the lead role in Salman’s next film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The Farhad Samji-directed movie is scheduled to hit theaters this April for Eid.
In Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Munni (Harshali), a mute Pakistani girl, is separated from her mother after the two travel to India together for a religious pilgrimage. A jovial Bajrangi (Salman) meets Munni and decides to help her connect with her mother in Pakistan. Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the part of Pakistani TV journalist Chand Nawab in the movie.
