Salman Khan: Multi-starrers and movies with two heroes were popular formerly. However, the trend has stopped in the last 15 to 20 years. However, the Shah Rukh Khan film Pathaan has made it a hot topic. Although Salman appeared in a cameo, the film’s box office success was largely attributed to the anticipation of seeing the two stars interact, even if only briefly. It should come as no surprise that they will now play equally significant roles in Tiger vs. Pathaan.
Salman Khan recently discussed this tendency and how it has really aided his career. He is currently busy promoting his new film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. He admitted that he had no qualms about standing on the shoulders of performers like Jackie Shroff, Sunny Deol, Akshay Kumar, etc. whenever he experienced a slump and a run of dud films. He added that it’s quite silly for an actor to feel uneasy about appearing in two-hero movies.
Salman Khan continued by saying that he was aware that some performers worry that the other actor would cut down on their screen time or role, particularly if the other actor is more closely associated with the director or producer. He promised, though, that this never occurs and that everyone strives to improve the movie rather than to outdo one another. He also noted that films with multiple stars bring in higher box office receipts. Therefore, he counseled upcoming stars to embrace this trend for their own sake and to not be afraid of multi-starrers.
Curiously, Tiger 3 will give viewers a chance to observe Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan interacting before Tiger vs. Pathaan. Salman Khan will play the starring role, unlike Shah Rukh in Pathaan, while Shah Rukh will make a cameo appearance. On Diwali this year, it will be released in theaters. Tomorrow, Friday, April 21, sees the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
