Preity Zinta: There have been more instances of paparazzi and fan harassment of celebrities in India in recent years. A lot of well-known people have spoken out against the relentless invasion of privacy and disregard for limits. Preity Zinta, a Bollywood actress, recently used social media to express her worries about the safety of her children in relation to one such event.
For the benefit of the uninitiated, Preity Zinta spoke on Saturday afternoon about an incident in which a woman attempted to take a photo of her daughter Gia without permission before picking her up and planting “a big wet” kiss next to her mouth. On another occasion, a physically challenged man bullied Preity Zinta and became violent when he did not get his way. The actress noted in her caption that in both instances, the paparazzi present did not step in or offer any assistance, but rather videotaped the occurrences and laughed.
“I believe it’s past time for people to understand that I’m a mother, a human person, and then a celebrity. A portion of her lengthy caption stated, “I also don’t need to continuously apologize for my success & be bullied for it because I’ve worked so hard to reach where I am. She continued, “Most importantly, please leave my kids alone and don’t approach them for photos or touch/grab them because they are NOT a package deal and are not intended to be preyed on. They should be treated like babies and not like celebrities because they are.
Many people express their support in the comments area. One person noted, “Some individuals just dont care about the borders and privacy,” and another added, “No humanity left. People work hard to achieve what they have, celebrity or not. “This is completely unacceptable,” a third user remarked. This is the reality of a nation that is infatuated with celebrities.
