On Saturday, authorities allegedly busted an interstate gang of cybercriminals who were defrauding people under the guise of setting up an “Ola” electric scooter dealership.
The Meridian Green apartment, which is beneath the Rupaspur police station, was raided on Saturday, the Delhi police claims, with the assistance of Patna police, and 16 people from three different states were taken into custody.
Devendra Kumar, an Inspector with the Delhi Police, stated that “all apprehended offenders were registered with the cyber police department in October. “Vadithya Chinna (age 22), Shiva Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Srinu, Vivek, Ajay Kumar Tanti, both from Jharkhand, Anis alias Golu Mali, Bittu Yadav, Sanni, Murari, Avinash Kumar Sao, Prince Kumar Gupta, Anand Kumar, and Navlesh Kumar were the names of the arrested suspects.
After receiving information, a team from the Delhi police raided the apartment with the assistance of the Rupaspur police in Patna and detained the suspects, who were later brought before the ACJM court in Danapur and transported to New Delhi on transit remand, according to Kumar.
According to the police, the accused conned numerous victims out of about 50 lakh rupees. They stated that additional investigation is still being conducted.
