PM Modi and other leaders pay tribute to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on National Education Day.

On Friday, the 134th anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other world figures paid tribute to him

Azad is highly regarded for his scholarship and brilliance, according to PM Modi, who shared two images of the leader alongside the nation’s first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and independence fighter Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, respectively. “He remained at the forefront of our freedom movement, working closely with other leading lights. He was also passionate about education.”

Rahul Gandhi, a former president of the Congress, paid respect to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad by writing, “Remembering the great freedom fighter, scholar, and India’s first Minister of Education, Bharat Ratna, on his birth day today.”

Azad will be remembered for his vital role in India’s freedom movement and for his services to our education sector, wrote education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on this occasion.

On November 11, the anniversary of the birth of India’s first education minister, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, National Education Day is observed. Maulana Azad, a scholar and educationist, played a significant role in designing the educational system of independent India. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission were established during his administration as the nation’s top educational regulatory bodies.
