Kangana Ranaut calls herself a ‘replica’ of Madhubala

Kangana Ranaut, who has been busy filming Emergency, recently posted a series of images of Madhubala on social media, contrasting her younger self with the former star. The actress posted a collection of images from her early days in B-town, referring to an article shared by an entertainment portal where she was referred to as one of the actresses who can essay the role of Madhubala in the evergreen star’s biopic, and addressing herself as a “replica” of the Mughal-E-Azam actress.

In an Instagram post, Kangana Ranaut discussed how she was compared to Madhubala. The actress posted a picture of herself from her early days in Bollywood with the caption, “As people want me to play cinema goddess Madhubala on screen when I started out I was a replica of Madhubala’s younger days, not sure about it now,” in the first story. She also shared a picture of the actress from her old movie.

Then, she posted two images of Madhubala from her black-and-white movies alongside a picture of herself holding the Filmfare award. The actress then carried on posting pictures of herself from her youth to her Instagram stories.

Speaking of her upcoming projects, Emergency, a film set in the 1970s, will feature Kangana Ranaut portraying India’s most well-known prime minister, Indira Gandhi. The actress will also be directing the movie, which also includes Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Choudhary, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair, and Satish Kaushik. In addition, the actress will play an air force pilot in the upcoming movie Tejas, which aims to inspire everyone to be proud of our brave soldiers.
