John Abraham played the antagonist in the blockbuster movie Pathaan, which appears to have altered the actor’s perspective on his future movie preferences. John, who is known for his intense action persona, has been in a number of amusing comedies.
In keeping with the latter, the actor was considering having a slate of movies that combine the two genres for which he is recognized. However, rumor has it that John Abraham has changed his mind and opted to completely leave some of his productions, including the Sajid Khan movie, in light of the enormous success of the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone movies.
According to a recent story in Pinkvilla, John Abraham is eager to maintain his reputation as an action star. Even though he was in talks to appear in 100% and Awara Pagal Deewana 2, the actor has opted to drop some of these projects. According to a source cited in the article, John wanted to expand his lineup by including masala and comedic artists. In truth, he had agreed to work on Sajid Khan’s 100% and was in early negotiations for Awara Pagal Deewana 2. However, everything has changed as a result of Pathaan’s success, and John isn’t currently in the mood to make a comedy movie.
The source continued, “While he has completely backed out of the films, the discussions of Awara Pagal Deewana 2 have taken a back seat with the producers already exploring other options.” The same article also states that while John has chosen to put these projects on hold, he has not yet made decisions on his action movies. Additionally, according to the source, John Abraham is in discussions with YRF (Yash Raj Films) for a spin-off movie based on his Pathaan character Jim, though there has been no official confirmation of this.
Regarding his next movies, John will next be seen in Tehran, directed by Dinesh Vijan, which is rumored to feature star Manushi Chhillar. The actor is also anticipated to work on a geopolitical thriller with Shivam Nair and T-Series.
