Besharam Rang: More than ten cuts were requested by the examining committee, the most of which are connected to the dialogues. The word “RAW” was changed to the word “Hamare” in two places to better fit the situation. Toote Foote took the place of Langde Lulle. PMO was deleted, and in 13 places, PM was changed to either President or Minister.
After that, “Ashok Chakra” was changed to “Veer Puraskar,” “ex-KGB” to “ex-SBU,” and “Mrs. Bharatmata” to “Hamari Bharatmata.” The word “scotch” was changed to “drink” in the dialogue “Isse sasti scotch nahin mili.” Then, ‘Black Prison, Russia’ was changed to ‘Black Prison’ in the text that occurs at one point in the movie. Finally, the song “Besharam Rang” underwent three revisions.
The “appropriate shots” were added in the song Besharam Rang in place of the “close-up buttocks shots,” “side posture (partial nudity)” shots, and visuals of sensual dancing motions throughout the lyrics of “Bahut tang kiya.” However, the CBFC cut list doesn’t specify how many seconds of shots were suppressed. Additionally, it’s unclear if the images of the orange bathing suit that caused a stir have been kept or not.
On January 2 after these modifications, the CBFC issued the censor certificate to the Pathaan filmmakers. The movie received a U/A certificate, and according to the certificate, it is 146 minutes long. To put it another way, Pathaan lasts 2 hours and 26 minutes.
