Ayan Mukerji has received numerous proposals from other production companies ever since leaving Dharma Productions. The director chose to do the epic YRF Spy Universe Film, War 2, with Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. in the key roles, despite all the offers he received. “Aditya Chopra recognized Ayan’s potential to helm a slick action movie the moment he saw Brahmastra. The director accepted his invitation to join the YRF Spy Universe after he made Ayan an offer. Ayan Mukerji is eager to learn from the greatest in the industry, a source informed Bollywood Hungama.
Ayan will receive the greatest technicians from the West at YRF. “Ayan is receiving a substantial salary to helm War 2. The director has a contract for 32 crores of rupees in directorial pay for War 2, and he is preparing to begin pre-production work this month. Ayan plans to start filming War 2 by November and wind up production in a year, the source added to Bollywood Hungama.
War 2, which is expected to hit theaters by the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025, will follow Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3 as the sixth movie in the YRF Spy Universe. The movie will be a continuation of Tiger 3’s episodes and eventually lead to Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s titanic fight in Tiger vs. Pathaan.
Ayan Mukerji is now one of the highest-paid directors at YRF, right behind Siddharth Anand, after earning Rs. 32 crores for directing War 2.
