Anees Bazmee says Bollywood filmmakers “need to grow”; Surprising Facts related to Downfall of Theaters in 2022!

Anees Bazmee

Anees Bazmee, who in 2022 gave the starved Hindi cinema industry a rare hit with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, is very disturbed about the frog-in-the-well mentality of Bollywood filmmakers. “In the previous two years, the audience’s tastes and preferences in movies have drastically changed. Because you have stars lined up for a project, you can’t feed them stale bakwas (nonsense) and expect them to go to the movies.

For the general population, going to the theater is like traveling outside of the city. Our filmmakers need to realize that the script is now the true star of the show. Everything just falls into place if you work on that department, according to Anees, who describes himself as a lifelong student of movies.

What did Anees Bazmee say on Bollywood?

“Many filmmakers claim they are interested in learning more about the movie industry. They are not, though. They tell lies. They merely claim this because doing so is popular. I am an unashamed film student. I watch a lot of movies from different countries. They have a lot to teach us, I assure you. We cannot be well-dwelling frogs. To advance as filmmakers, we must be aware of the kind of films being produced around the globe, says Anees Bazmee.

Anees comments on the audience’s shifting tastes by saying, “Woh bhola-bhala darshak abb nahin raha. That gullible audience member, who would humbly consume anything you served him, is no longer around. Thanks to the OTT platform the audience of today is aware of film all over the world. You may watch movies from anywhere in the world with only one click. Subtitles are also no longer a turnoff for the viewers. They are able to simultaneously read and watch.
